Ashley contacted me back in September asking if I would be available to swing by for an hour and shoot a few portraits at her wedding the following month. This isn't something that I would normally do but then near the end of her message she says "the wedding is being held on my friends farm, there's a barn and horses, homemade apple butter, donkeys and a hay bale couch...actually she didn't mention the apple butter, donkeys or hay bale couch but she didn't need to...I was already planning to be there. Seriously, who misses out on a backyard wedding...they are so beautifully simple, intimate and usually loaded with personality...thus making them a joy to photograph. This one was no different...Ashley and Bill said their vows in some seriously beautiful evening light on top of a hill with only their closest friends and family. Doesn't get much better in my opinion...oh wait, I almost forgot there was homemade apple butter too. ;)

Here's a bit of what my hour with them looked like...
