I've known Nicole and Dave for years...Nicole since middle school and Dave since high school. Nicole was actually the very first person to buy a print from me when I got back into photography...I'm eternally indebted :) We met up at Hibernia park (one of my favorite places on earth) to shoot their engagement session. I think they got more than they bargained for as I took them on an extensive hike through the park to numerous different locations...hopefully it was worthwhile for you guys! Shauna and I had a blast spending the afternoon with you...and I'm really looking forward to shooting your wedding...gonna be awesome!
As a quick side note...these photos were actually taken a few weeks ago and I am just getting around to posting them now because the whole session was shot on film. Many of you who have been following the blog recently may have heard me mention the fact that I have been toying with the idea of moving in an analog direction...well...I decided to go for it and bought a bunch of film, a few film cameras and dove right in. I sent the negatives off to the amazing Richard Photo Lab in California for processing and scanning and everything came back in the mail today...(felt a lot like christmas). It's so incredibly refreshing to get back to the basics...especially in a digital world where everything moves soo blazingly fast...film is a welcome change of pace for me and I'm really enjoying rediscovering the process. I think I am falling in love all over again :)
For the photography minded folk (or those who are just curious) The whole session was shot with a Canon 1v and 1n on Fuji Pro 400H rated at 200.
Enjoy!
