I met with Amy and Nile in West Chester on Saturday morning to shoot their engagement session. We chatted over a morning brew at Iron Hill before the session to help everyone loosen up and get comfortable. They told me a little bit about themselves, the story of how they met and about the hazards of sitting on the first base line of a minor league baseball game (their first date together).

Like most couples, I think they had some slight reservations about getting in front of the camera for the first time. Though as we walked around town and eventually headed out to the Stroud Preserve to finish up the session it was clear that there was no reason for them to be concerned. Things just fell comfortably into place. They were so natural and at ease with each other it made my job simple.

I'm greatly looking forward to shooting their wedding in a couple months...but in the meantime here's a few shots from our session on Saturday.
