Who doesn't love a good ole irish wedding? Kilts, bagpipes, Guinness, Jameson, Lucky Charms...well, maybe not the Lucky Charms but seriously...what's there not to love?
When I found out that I was going to be shooting a Flynn wedding, I knew it was going to be a unique event. I've known the Flynn's for years and one thing I know about them is that they have a bit of a wild streak and definitely know their way around a party. They even coaxed me into joining them at the bar for a few drinks after the wedding was over.
Katie and Dan planned an amazing event and everything for their day went perfectly, they were even blessed with an unseasonably cool August afternoon. By the end of the day I think Dan had given at least 4 hugs to every single person at the wedding including the busboy. They are both just such seriously genuine people. I'm so glad that I was able to document their day for them.
Also, a huge thanks to Terry Tigue for helping me out last minute and shooting the guys getting ready. A few of her shots are mixed in.
And with that...I guess there is only one thing left to say...
"There were green alligators, and long necked geese, some humpty back camels and some chimpanzees, some cats and rats and elephants...but sure as you're born the loveliest of all was the unicorn."
(That last part might be a little confusing unless you're a Flynn) :)
