It wasn't long before their wedding that I met Tabitha and Joe to shoot their engagement session at Valley Forge. After the shoot was finished we decided to go grab dinner and a few drinks...chit chat and break the ice a bit before the wedding. I've always felt that the more comfortable a couple is with their photographer the better their photos will be. It didn't take much more than a few minutes for me to realize that I felt like I had known these people for years. Instead of the traditional "getting to know you" dialogue...we talked about a colorful and diverse variety of topics like religion, education, money, family and some politics...all of which could be considered potentially dangerous topics to venture into with the closest of friends...let alone with clients...but in this situation it was always entirely comfortable. I think we all walked away from that meal feeling a real connection...so much more than just a client/photographer relationship. Sometimes things just fall into place and everything works out perfectly. In this case, I got to shoot one beautiful wedding for an absolutely amazing couple...and I also made two great new friends.
Everything about your wedding was perfect, you guys looked awesome, your family and friends were the best, the weather was iffy but ended up pristine...it was seriously one of my favorite weddings ever. Thanks again for allowing me to be there to document it for you. The love you have for each other is clear...and I wish you all the best for a long and happy road together.
